Level 3 Data :: BUYING & SELLING PRESSURE
Level 3 Data is real-time volume and spread analysis of raw tick trading data. Valuable trading information is measured and recorded based on where the trade occurred between the bid and ask price. Our proprietary Buying & Selling Pressure Indicator identifies Buying Pressure Exhaustion in stock prices.
The concept behind Level 3 Data is simple - Stock market prices are based on supply and demand, when there is more demand or buying pressure, prices go up and vice versa. Level 3 Data is created raw tick by tick data by analyzing every trade based on the relationship of the traded price to the bid-ask spread to identify shifts between buyers and sellers prior to a change in closing price.
Prices go up when a disproportionate number of trades occurring at the ask side of the spread. The supply of shares at the current price dries up which leads to higher prices.
And prices go down when there are more sellers hitting the bid.
